Northampton Town have signed midfielder Emmanuel Oyeleke on a month’s loan from League One side Brentford.
The 20-year-old has spent time in the Academies at both Chelsea and Queens’ Park Rangers and has made two first team appearances for the Bees.
He can also operate as a full back and will be added to the squad for Tuesday night’s trip to Gillingham.
“I have watched Manny play a number of times and he will add to our squad,” said boss Aidy Boothroyd.
“He is a strong, athletic, combative midfield player who can play anywhere across the midfield or at full back.
“He is here to challenge for and compete for a first team place and to gain experience. I think we can help Manny and I know he can help us.”
Oyeleke made his debut for the Bees in a 1–0 defeat to Wrexham in the FA Cup in December 2011 as a substitute for Myles Weston.
He made his league debut later that month against Milton Keynes Dons at Griffin Park. He was substituted in the game at half time with the hosts 3-0 down and they subsequently mounted a second half comeback to draw 3–3.
