A council is warning its residents to be wary of a private company offering to cut their council tax.
South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) has been made aware of Manchester-based Randall & Vickers contacting householders to challenge tax bands on ‘no-win no-fee’ basis.
SNC warns however that the firm will take a quarter of all monies refunded, plus VAT.
Those wishing to appeal against a council tax band should contact the Valuation Office Agency direct on 03000 501501.
