A formula One car looks set to be one of the stars at a theatre next month.
Northampton Borough Council is bringing the Force India model to Royal & Derngate for people to look at in the run up to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Cabinet member for community engagement, Councillor Brandon Eldred, said: “We have managed to get a Force India F1 car.
“This will be on display in the theatre from the Saturday to the Wednesday before the British Grand Prix from July 6-8. We managed to get the car as we knew someone who works for Kingfisher, the sponsors of Force India and asked if this was something which could happen.
“We are all very pleased we have secured this as we believe it will be good for the town centre. We hope people will come to town to have a look at the car and have a look at the shops.”
