A mother and daughter have helped raise more than £18,000 for charity in three years.

Dione Priddy, 42, from Northampton, and her daughter Eleanor, 15, recently collected another £200 for Alzheimer’s Research UK by running the British 10K in London.

They have been spurred on by thoughts of Eleanor’s dad Mark, who died in 2010, aged 41, after a five year battle with earlyonset Alzheim-er’s.

Mrs Priddy said: “As a family our lives were turned upside down and it was particularly difficult for our two daughters, Eleanor and Bethany.

"It opened my eyes to the lack of funding for research into this cruel disease and I promised Mark I would do everything I could to help Alzheimer’s Research UK find new treatments and a cure.”
