More than 300 hundred children turned up to
Lings Forum leisure centre's open day on Saturday.

The children, all under 14, got the chance to take part in 22 different activities including trampolining, volleyball, boxing, badminton, cheerleading, junk modelling, and arts and crafts.

In addition, a number of sports clubs supported the event including GKR Karate, Lings Forum Squash Club and Northampton Nets Basketball Club.

The Trilogy Swim School also offered free taster swimming lessons and the centre ran its popular Zumbatomic fitness class.

Ian Redfern from Northampton Leisure Trust said: "The Lings Forum open day was a great success and lots of young people came along and tried a variety of different activities.
"Many of the sports and play activities that were on offer on Saturday are available in the leisure centres over the summer holidays as part of camps, the Funzone play scheme and daily sport and play sessions..”
