Man injured in homophobic attack

AMAN was punched and kicked after a group asked him about his sexuality.

The homophobic assault took place in Black Lion Hill in Northampton last Thursday.

Between 11pm and 11.30pm, a 20-year-old man from Milton Keynes was walking from the railway station to the BP filling station at Westbridge.

He was followed to and from the station by three men.

They questioned the victim's sexuality and then assaulted him, punching and kicking him to the head. 

He required treatment at Northampton General Hospital for facial cuts and bruises.

The first offender was white, 6ft tall of heavy build and aged in his early 20s with a skinhead. He was wearing a grey cardigan which had thin red stripes.

The second offender was white, 5ft 6 tall, of slim build and aged in his late teens with spiked blonde hair. He was wearing a light-coloured top.

The third offender was white, 6ft 1 tall, of medium build and aged in his early 20s. He was wearing a dark grey jumper and light-coloured trousers.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
