Ombudsman threat in library episode

Library are considering taking their fight to the Ombudsman.

Northamptonshire CC has agreed to move the facility from Caroline Chisholm School into Wootton Community Centre on a temporary basis.

It is negotiating to buy its way out of a contract as it is currently paying £150,000 per year.

But Chairman of the governors and a member of the Friends of Wootton Library, David Atkinson, said: “We are looking at possibly making a complaint to the council and possibly taking it to the Ombudsman.”

A council spokeswoman said the school has until July 31 to put forward an alternative.
