Painkillers stolen from lorry on M1 near Northampton

POLICE are warning about the possible emergence of packets a strong painkiller, following a theft from a lorry parked at Northampton services on the M1 northbound.


Between 9.30pm last night and 5.30am this morning (Thursday), the rear of a lorry trailer was opened and nine pallets of pharmaceuticals were stolen.


The drugs stolen were zydol pills, which give strong pain relief. Zydol, also known as Tramadol Hydrochloride, is an opioid.


This medication can cause harm if taken without proper care and attention.
Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
