Funky Hair Day at Pitsford Junior School proved a great success today with pupils turning up with imaginative and creative hairstyles to raise money for CLIC Sargent.
The charity supports families who have children who have been diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia.
Money raised will buy simple, bright books for children under 10 to help them understand their illness and treatment.
The funds will also help families to take holidays in one of the CLIC Sargent holiday homes.
Amanda from CLIC Sargent visited the school to explain to the pupils the work that the charity does.
She also judged the Funkiest Hair competition.
Congratulations to the winners: Eve Dhaliwal-Shirreff who had a Lady Ga-Ga style hair style with coke cans, Toby Wilson who sported the school colours in his hair, Joe Davide who had his hair sprayed in the Barcelona team colours and Hannah Clark who had an array of plaits and bunches and even some extensions.
Robinson House raised a fantastic £160 which will be donated to CLIC Sargent.
