QUICK thinking residents helped stop a bench ending up from being tipped over and left to set hard in concrete
The incident of criminal damage happened at a play area in Barley Hill Road, Northampton between 2pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday.
The offender(s) upturned a bench, which was currently setting in wet cement, in a play area currently under construction in Southfield Sports Field.
Local residents noticed the bench was on its end, shortly after the incident occurred.
Fortunately they were able to turn the bench back round again before the cement had a chance to dry, minimising the damage caused.
The equipment for the play area was kindly funded by the local residents and as such this incident is particularly distressing.
