Air ambulance spreads its wings

BY LAWRENCE JOHN

THE Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) is hitting the ground for its latest project.

It is launching its charity furniture shop in Wellingborough today.

The WNAA store in Market Street will be open for business from 10.30am.

The special guest, who will also open up the shop, is WNAA director of retail and trading, Emma Vithlani, who heads up the retail team for WNAA and sister service Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance.

She said: “It’s very exciting to be opening our first furniture shop for WNAA in Wellingborough. We have huge support for our charity shops in general.

"Sales wise our Daventry store in Northamptonshire consistently beats all our others across Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire and I am sure this new venture into furniture will prove as popular at the opposite end of the county.

“We have recruited a manager and assistant manager and have also got some wonderful volunteers helping us get ready for the big day. ”

Visitors to the grand opening will hopefully be treated to a WNAA flypast.

The store will collect good quality furniture including soft furnishings.
