A BODY found by the side of a road last August has been formally identified as a missing man from the county.
Philip John Holmes had been reported missing by his carers on August 29, 2005. The body was discovered on the A45 dual-carriageway near Earls Barton on August 30 last year – six years on from his disappearance.
Tests were required on the body before formal identification could be established.
The family of Mr Holmes is aware of the discovery and police have confirmed that the death is not suspicious.
