A MOTORCYCLIST was severely injured after crashing into a brick wall.
The biker, a 22-year-old man from Higham Ferrers, was riding along Duck Street in Rushden at 7.30pm last Wednesday.
But about 20 minutes later the blue and white Honda CBR 125 bike mounted the kerb and collided into a wall next to the Railway Inn pub.
The man was taken to Kettering General Hospital with serious head injuries and was later transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Police are appealing for information about the incident.
A spokesman said: “We are especially keen to speak to any motorists who were in the vicinity of Duck Street at that time and who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have seen the motorcyclist prior to the collision.”
Anyone with information should contact the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615.
