Three men armed with crow bars attempted to rob a shop in Rushden

THREE men jumped out of a car in Rushden armed with crow bars and attempted to break into the Premier Store in Church Hall Road on Friday at 10pm.


The owner of the shop and his son, were closing the store when a vehicle pulled up outside and three men jumped out with crow bars and ran towards the shop.

The victims managed to prevent the offenders from entering the shop.
The offenders smashed the front window of the shop and then got back into the vehicle and pulled around the corner into Rose Avenue.


The main offender then got out of the car again and smashed numerous windows of two vehicles belonging to the victims, and then got back into the car.

The vehicle then reversed back into Church Hall Road, the offenders attempted once again to enter the store but failed, got back into the car then made off towards Park Avenue.


The victims were not injured and nothing was stolen.

There were three male offenders involved.
